Central Oʻahu
Dole Plantation
A pineapple visitor centre with a train, a giant maze, and pineapple soft serve.

Why go
An easy stop with kids on the way to the North Shore.
The catch
Very touristy. Walking in and browsing the shop costs nothing - it is the attractions that charge. The garden tour is $8.50 for adults and $8 for children 4 to 12, and the maze and train are priced separately. The soft serve is the bit everyone actually remembers.

Getting there
Driving times on real roads, from the same data the trip planner routes on — not straight-line distance.
| From Waikīkī | 46 min | 27.6 miles |
|---|---|---|
| From HNL airport | 47 min | 24.1 miles |
| From Hale‘iwa | 15 min | 7.3 miles |
| From Ko Olina | 37 min | 22.9 miles |
Add traffic. These are free-flowing times, and the H1 through town at eight in the morning is not free-flowing.
